Dr Cherynne Johansson

Dr. Cherynne Johansson is an experienced specialist gynaecologist with a passion for minimally invasive surgery, complex gynaecological conditions and colposcopy. She began her career as a GP in Western Australia before focusing entirely on women's health and working for Family Planning WA. She went on to earn an Advanced Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology before being trained as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the Sydney Southwest region.

Dr. Johansson's expertise in advanced laparoscopy was further developed through a competitive fellowship with the Australasian Gynaecology Endoscopy and Surgery Society (AGES), where she gained knowledge and expertise in a broad range of gynaecological surgeries. During her fellowship, she received specialized training in robotic surgery and became the first Gynaecology Fellow in Australia to achieve certification as a Da Vinci robotic surgeon.

Dr. Johansson's main areas of interest include minimally invasive surgery such as laparoscopy and robotic surgery, treating complex gynaecological conditions including endometriosis, fibroids, and ovarian lesions, pelvic inflammatory disease surgery for tubo-ovarian abscess, and pyo or hydrosalpinx. She also specializes in addressing congenital gynaecological anomalies and colposcopy.
