He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with honours from the prestigious University of Sri Jayewardenepura in Sri Lanka in 1999, before completing his Ear, Nose, Throat and Head & Neck Fellowship in Sri Lanka in 2008.
