Saam Tourani is a specialist general surgeon based in Melbourne, with a primary focus on breast and endocrine surgery. His practice encompasses a broad range of services, including breast cancer and benign breast condition surgery, thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal surgery, general surgery, emergency surgery as well as elective surgical procedures such as appendix removal, gallbladder surgery, bowel and anorectal conditions, hernias, skin and subcutaneous lesion treatment, vasectomy, carpal tunnel release, and implantable venous access port insertion. He is also accredited by GESA and recertified to carry out adult gastroscopy and colonoscopy, as well as point-of-care ultrasound breast and endocrine (CCPU).

He graduated from the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 2019, and subsequently earned his PhD degree at the University of Melbourne's Taylor Reconstructive Plastic Surgery Research Lab, receiving the prestigious Australian Postgraduate Award from 2012 to 2015. He underwent two years of post-fellowship training in breast (BreastSurgANZ) and endocrine surgery at renowned institutions in Australia and abroad, including Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, The Royal Liverpool Hospital in the UK, and the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
