Miss Jane Fox

As the Director of Breast Services at Monash Health, Jane Fox brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role, overseeing breast surgery and the Monash BreastScreen program. She is a key member of the multidisciplinary team at the Monash Cancer Centre, working alongside medical imaging, medical oncology, and radiation oncology experts to provide optimal patient care.

Driven by her commitment to subspecialist multidisciplinary care, Jane is passionate about helping breast cancer patients understand their illness and treatment options. Her clinical research focuses on assessing tumour responses to pre-operative treatment and achieving optimal surgical outcomes. In addition to her work with cancer patients, Jane also assesses and manages benign breast problems, including symptoms and imaging abnormalities.

As a senior lecturer in the Monash University Department of Surgery, Jane is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. She also serves on several committees and groups dedicated to improving outcomes for breast cancer patients, including BreastSurg ANZ and the Southern Metropolitan Integrated Cancer Service, where she currently chairs the Breast Cancer Stream.
