Prof Ramesh Tripathi

Professor Ramesh Tripathi is an experienced vascular and endovascular surgeon, practicing at St. Andrew's Ipswich Private Hospital. With over 20 years of internationally recognized and awarded expertise, he specialises in treating aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial occlusive disease, and venous disorders. Professor Tripathi earned his FRCS from Edinburgh, Scotland, and completed his vascular surgery training at the Royal Perth Hospital, Perth, obtaining FRACS in Vascular Surgery in 2005. He is an A/Professor of Surgery at the University of Queensland and an Adjunct Professor at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Professor Tripathi's contributions to the field of vascular surgery and research have been recognized through several awards, including the Distinguished Fellow of Society for Vascular Surgery (USA), Honorary Member of the European Venous Forum, and Asterios Katsamouris Lecture by the European Society for Cardiovascular Surgery. He was also inducted into the Sigma Xi Honors Research Society in 2017. As a surgeon-scientist, his clinical research focuses mainly on treatments for venous ulceration of lower extremities, thrombotic lesions of thoracic and abdominal aorta, and aortic aneurysms. He has published papers and delivered presentations in major vascular journals, including the Journal of Endovascular Therapy, Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery, Vascular, Phlebology, International Angiology, Aorta, Annals of Vascular Surgery, Asian Journal of Surgery, and Endovascular Today. In his approach to patient management, Professor Tripathi embraces evidence-based, holistic, and minimally invasive treatments. In his free time, he enjoys solving crossword puzzles, painting, or playing basketball. Professor Tripathi is a distinguished and accomplished member of the vascular surgery community.
