Dr Paul Trott

Dr Paul Trott is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 30 years of experience in the field. He currently practices in Cairns, Queensland, where he has been residing for the past fourteen years.

Upon completing his medical degree at Otago University in New Zealand in 1987, Dr Trott embarked on his psychiatric training, which he completed at the University of Queensland in 1996. He obtained his Fellowship from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in the same year.

With a wealth of knowledge and expertise, Dr Trott has a special interest in the following areas: mood disorders, anxiety disorders, consultation liaison psychiatry, chronic pain syndromes, alcohol addiction, and early psychosis.

Dr Trott's career began at The Cairns Base Hospital, where he served as the Clinical Director of the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit from 1997 to 1999. Since then, he has dedicated himself to private psychiatric practice for twelve years, providing quality care to his patients.
