Dr Laurence Gluch

Dr. Laurence Gluch is a highly trained breast and thyroid surgeon who has made significant contributions in the field of magnetic resonance research. Having received his surgical fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons after completing his advanced surgical training at Royal North Shore Hospital, Dr. Gluch went on to pursue groundbreaking research in Magnetic Resonance at the Institute for Magnetic Resonance Research in Sydney. He was awarded a Ph.D. from the University of Sydney in 2003 for his thesis on the application of Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy and Imaging to diagnose breast cancer. Dr. Gluch also completed a visiting fellowship at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, working alongside Dr. Ferenc Jolesz, an expert in interventional magnetic resonance surgery.

Today, Dr. Gluch provides cutting-edge care to patients in both the private and public healthcare sectors, with a particular focus on breast and thyroid surgery. He uses advanced techniques to ensure patients experience the best possible outcome, while maintaining an unwavering commitment to compassionate care. In addition to his expertise in general surgery, Dr. Gluch is also an endocrine surgeon who specialises in the surgical management of benign and malignant thyroid and parathyroid gland disorders.

Dr. Gluch is a proud member of both the Breast and Endocrine sections of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, as well as the International Surgical Society and the Australasian Society for Breast Diseases. At the Strathfield Breast Centre, he actively participates in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure patients receive the most comprehensive care possible. Dr. Gluch operates out of Concord Hospital and the Strathfield Private Hospital, and he is also a Clinical Lecturer in Surgery at the University of Sydney.
