Dr Belinda Chan

Meet Dr Belinda Chan, a renowned Breast and General Surgeon who has dedicated her career to providing patients with the highest quality of care. Dr Chan is a highly qualified medical professional, having completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with Honours from the University of Sydney in 2002, followed by a Bachelor degree in Medical Science. She was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in General Surgery in 2010.

Aside from her impeccable credentials, Dr Chan is also a researcher, having completed her Masters of Surgery by Research at the University of Sydney where she focused on investigating the genetic mutations in breast Phyllodes tumors.

Dr Chan works in partnership with a highly skilled team of specialists at the Strathfield Breast Centre, where they employ a multidisciplinary approach to tailor individual patient management plans. This team is made up of doctors from various fields such as radiologists, pathologists, breast care nurses, breast physicians, and medical and radiation oncologists. Dr Chan also has international experience from specialist post-fellowship training in Breast and Endocrine Surgery at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, one of the largest hospitals in Singapore, and visiting the renowned L’Institut du Sein in Paris, France, where she focused on oncoplastic breast surgery techniques.

Dr Chan’s interests within the medical field are center on breast surgery, including diagnosis and treatment of breast lesions, removal of breast tumors, oncoplastic breast conservation surgery, mastectomy, oncologic breast reconstruction, breast symptom assessment, breast cancer risk assessment and surveillance, breast ultrasound and needle biopsy.
