Dr David Habashy

Dr. Habashy is a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Urologist presently practising at Drummoyne and Strathfield Private Hospital. He is affiliated with The Mater Hospital (North Sydney) and Strathfield Private Hospital, where he performs surgeries. Dr. Habashy completed his tertiary education at the University of Sydney, where he received a Bachelor of Pharmacy in 2007, and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2011. He then underwent four years of General Medical, Surgical, and Critical Care training at the Concord Hospital Network before beginning his surgical training in Urology in 2016.

After years of diligent training, Dr. Habashy earned his Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons as a Urological Surgeon in 2021. He is proud to be a full member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ) and was awarded the USANZ George Schnitzler Prize in 2020 for his exceptional work. Dr. Habashy then traveled to the United Kingdom to complete a Urological Cancer Fellowship at the prestigious University Hospital Southampton, a high-volume cancer center with expertise in minimally invasive robotic, laparoscopic, and open cancer surgery.

Dr. Habashy is passionate about treating Urological Cancer and is interested in further sub-specialty experience in this area. However, he also provides comprehensive General Urology services to his patients, including the management of urinary tract stone disease, enlarged prostate, and voiding dysfunction, among other common benign conditions. Thus, his patients can be assured of thorough treatment regardless of their ailment.
