Dr Mark Gorbatov is an experienced ophthalmologist specialising in the field of ophthalmology. He is based in Strathfield, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Dr Gorbatov obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree with honors from the prestigious University of Sydney in 1995. He was also awarded the coveted University Medal for his outstanding academic achievements.
Dr Gorbatov underwent comprehensive training in ophthalmology at the renowned Sydney Eye Hospital. He further enhanced his expertise in the management of retinal diseases through specialised training at the Lions Eye Institute in Perth and the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital in the United Kingdom. Currently, he is associated with the Retinal Unit at Sydney Eye Hospital.

He possesses a particular interest in the treatment of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), including the latest injectable medications. Additionally, he has a deep understanding of various diagnostic technologies such as optical coherence tomography (OCT).
