Dr Tony Vo

Dr. Tony Vo is an accomplished Specialist Cardiologist and Interventional Cardiologist with a wealth of knowledge and expertise. He currently serves as an inpatient and outpatient provider at Gold Coast University Hospital and Gold Coast Private Hospital, located in Ormeau, Queensland, Australia.

Dr. Vo obtained his medical degree from the University of Melbourne and subsequently completed his cardiology training at several prestigious Australian teaching hospitals. These hospitals include Royal North Shore Hospital, Ryde Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, and Royal Darwin Hospital. In addition, he completed his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the Gold Coast University Hospital.

With extensive experience in the field, Dr. Vo has performed approximately 4,000 procedures in cardiology. He specialises in coronary work with complex higher risk and indicated patients, including left main stenting, bypass graft stenting, bifurcation stenting, primary PCI (heart attacks and cardiac arrests), CTO, Rotablation, Coronary Physiology and Imaging. He is also proficient in Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE), Trans-oesophageal Echocardiography (TOE), stress testing, and cardioversion.

Dr. Vo has a keen interest in teaching and is actively involved in training medical students, cardiology trainees, and nurses. He actively participates in international interventional cardiology meetings such as TCTAP, AP Valves, and Structural Heart and Complex PCI as the Australian ambassador for the Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CVRF). Dr. Vo believes in giving back to the community through his teaching, and his involvement has been recognized on numerous occasions.
