Dr Sujievvan Chandran

Dr Sujie Chandran is an accomplished Gastroenterologist based in Mount Waverley, Melbourne, Australia. He is affiliated with the renowned Knox Private Hospital. Dr Chandran holds a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery, which he completed in 2005. He further pursued his passion for Gastroenterology by attaining a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2012.

Dr Chandran's special interests lie in ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography), Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), EMR (endoscopic mucosal resection), and the removal of 'difficult' large polyps. He has undergone rigorous training to acquire expertise and hands-on experience in these areas. He specialises in endoscopic management of Barrett’s oesophagus, endoscopic resection of polyps, removal of pancreas fluid collections, and utilises cutting-edge spyglass technology in his practice.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr Chandran is actively engaged in academic research, focusing on advancing the field of endoscopy. He has published numerous studies and received the esteemed GESA clinical research scholarship. Dr Chandran is also a co-author of a book chapter on ERCP. Currently, he is in the final stages of completing his PhD in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy.
