Mr P. Y. Tan

Meet Mr. Pee Yau (PY) Tan, a skilled General Surgeon with a focus on hernias, gall bladders and laparoscopic colon surgery. Mr. Tan completed his education at the prestigious Mount Waverley Secondary College and achieved his fellowship in Australia in General Surgery in 2009 from the University of Melbourne. To further enhance his skills, he earned accreditation for gastroscopy and colonoscopy practice from the Conjoint Committee for Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (CCRTGE) and underwent Colorectal Fellowship training at Monash Health to expertly conduct laparoscopic colectomies.

Currently, Mr. Tan works in the public sector at Monash Health, catering to both Dandenong and Casey Hospitals, where he provides Acute General Surgical care. He is proficient in appendix, gall bladder, and hernia surgeries involving peritonitis, bowel obstructions, and other emergency procedures. Mr. Tan also dedicates his time to teach and train surgical trainees and Monash medical undergraduates.

Furthermore, Mr. Tan also works with different private networks and practices at Waverley Private Hospital, where his fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese has allowed him to communicate and cater to a diverse range of patients.
