Mr Kostas Syrrakos

Kostas Syrrakos is a skilled General, Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeon, Endoscopist, and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons with extensive post-fellowship training overseas, including in Advanced Laparoscopic and Endoscopic procedures. His surgical training took place at The Alfred Hospital and Eastern Health, after which he advanced his technical skills by annual attendance at surgical training centers of excellence worldwide and became a member of numerous international surgical associations to keep up-to-date with state-of-the-art surgical techniques and management modalities.

Mr Syrrakos specialises in several areas, including Advanced Laparoscopic and Robotic Hernia Repair, Advanced Laparoscopic Management of Gallbladder and Biliary Disease, Laparoscopic, Robotic, Endoscopic, and Minimal Invasive Small and Large Bowel Disease Management, Surgical Management of Skin Lesions/Cancers, Melanomas, and other conditions such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Dupuytren's contracture, and Medical, Endoscopic and Laparoscopic management for weight loss. He is an expert in the HAL-RAR technique, which is a minimally invasive procedure for haemorrhoid management.

To achieve excellence in quality of care and patient outcomes, he uses minimally invasive and cutting-edge surgical techniques carefully tailored to individual patient needs. He also applies an evidence-based surgical approach to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Mr Syrrakos is a member of various professional associations, including the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, General Surgeons Australia, Gastroenterological Society of Australia, Obesity Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand, and Hellenic Medical Society of Australia, where he is Director of Community Liaison. He serves as Surgical Supervisor at Monash University and holds committee positions at Bass Coast Health.
