Dr Richard Plomley is a highly experienced allergist and immunologist with a passion for providing exceptional care to patients in Melbourne and surrounding areas. With multiple clinic locations, he is dedicated to treating a wide range of conditions, including severe dermatitis and hives, anaphylaxis, and immune deficiency.
At his clinic, Dr Plomley provides a range of allergy vaccines, including those for cats, dogs, dust mites, and grass pollen, as well as bee and wasp venom. He has a special interest in immunomodulation, and uses the latest diagnostic laboratory methods in food allergy.
Dr Plomley has an impressive educational background, having studied at Glamorgan and Melbourne Grammar Schools before completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Melbourne. He went on to complete his internship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and obtained his FRACP General Internal Medicine while at the same hospital. His Clinical Immunology Research was at the University of Melbourne Department of Medicine, and he also conducted laboratory Immunology Research at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. Dr Plomley's Clinical Allergy studies were completed at the Alfred Hospital.
With his wealth of experience and expertise, Dr Plomley is committed to providing the highest standard of care to his patients. He has previously worked in public hospital clinics at the Alfred Asthma and Allergy Clinic and Royal Melbourne Hospital Allergy Clinic, and currently works in private clinics and hospitals in central and suburban Melbourne. He also runs transfusion clinics to assist patients with immune deficiency.
