A/Prof Robert Gooley

Dr. Robert Gooley is a highly qualified Interventional and Structural Cardiologist with a strong focus on cardiac care. He completed his medical degree with honours at Monash University and went on to pursue a fellowship in Interventional and Structural Cardiology at MonashHeart, further enhancing his expertise in the field.

In addition to his extensive education and training, Dr. Gooley has also obtained a PhD in multi-modality imaging assessment of aortic and aortic valve anatomy. This accomplishment was recognized by the prestigious National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), which awarded him a scholarship for his research.

Dr. Gooley's practice encompasses various areas of cardiology, including general cardiology and the treatment of coronary artery disease. He specialises in transcatheter management of valvular heart disease, utilizing minimally invasive techniques to provide effective treatment options for patients who are at high risk from traditional surgical procedures.

As an Interventional and Structural Cardiologist, Dr. Gooley is dedicated to staying abreast of the latest advancements in his field. He consistently engages in professional development activities to ensure that his patients receive the highest standard of care.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Gooley enjoys spending time with his wife and exploring new destinations through travel. He is a passionate runner and a dedicated supporter of the Hawks.
