Dr Jasinarachchi is a highly qualified neurologist with a clinical interest in clinical neurophysiology and neuromuscular disorders. She sees patients at Knox Private Hospital and holds an MBBS degree with upper second class honours, which she obtained in 2005. Following her basic physician training at Frankston and Alfred Hospitals, she pursued advanced training in neurology at Western and St Vincent's Hospitals. Her extensive training led to her receiving a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. At St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne, Dr Jasinarachchi pursued advanced training in Clinical Neurophysiology and Neuromuscular disorders where she developed exceptional skills in various nerve fibre testing, EMG sampling, and tilt table testing. She also received training in evoked potentials, sudomotor testing (QSART), and electroencephalography (EEG). Dr Jasinarachchi actively participates in research at both Western and St Vincent’s hospitals where she conducts research on stroke and nerve disorders. She is also a graduate of the American Academy of Neurology's PALF (Palatucci Advocacy Leadership Forum) class of 2013 and holds a graduate diploma in public health from Deakin University. Dr Jasinarachchi has extensive experience in teaching medical students, basic physician trainees, and advanced trainees in neurology at the state level. She welcomes referrals for electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS), including small fibre and autonomic testing.
