Dr Sameer Kaul has a wealth of expertise in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, having received specialist training at Frankston and Alfred hospitals in Melbourne. He is a distinguished fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and is known to provide quality care to all his patients. Dr Kaul has worked throughout metropolitan, suburban, and rural hospitals and has gained extensive knowledge in all aspects of Internal Medicine, including placements at Melbourne's Rosebud, Sandringham, Shepparton and Mildura Base Hospital. As a Senior Medical Registrar at The Alfred Hospital, he was heavily involved in supervising junior medical staff, organising the hospital's physician training programme, and departmental research and audits. Dr Kaul completed three more years of training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at The Alfred Hospital and Frankston Hospital, where he devoted his time to work in the Cystic Fibrosis and Lung Transplantation unit for two years. He is equipped with a range of expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, which includes flexible bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound and intercostal catheter insertion. As a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, Dr Kaul is committed to providing the best care to his patients and holds public appointments at Frankston and Rosebud Hospital. His interests include all facets of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, with a particular focus on managing chronic lung diseases, assessing of lung nodules and cardiovascular effects of sleep.
