After his Australian training, Dr. Aggarwal pursued subspecialty training abroad through highly coveted fellowships. At the University of Toronto, Canada, he completed a fellowship in breast reconstruction & aesthetic/cosmetic surgery of the breast, face & body, and then a Microsurgery Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA. During his tenure in the latter institute, he executed a high volume of primary microsurgical reconstructions (free flaps) of the breast, head & neck, and upper and lower limbs.
Dr. Aggarwal maintains his connection to academic and educational institutions. He previously served as a representative of trainees on the National Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for two years. He continues to contribute to the development of future plastic surgeons through his role in RPA Hospital and Sydney Adventist Hospitals. Moreover, he frequently cooperates with his fellow colleagues in Australia and North America to promote advancements in plastic surgery research. In 2016, he authored a Continuing Medical Education article on Secondary Breast Augmentation in collaboration with his Canadian peers, published in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal, a worldwide premier journal for educating Plastic Surgeons.
