Professor Hunter is an esteemed Rheumatology clinician and researcher with a specific focus on clinical and translational research in Osteoarthritis (OA). He currently serves as Florance and Cope Chair of Rheumatology and Professor of Medicine at the University of Sydney, Chair of the Institute of Bone and Joint Research, and Staff Specialist at Royal North Shore Hospital and North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre. Professor Hunter obtained his medical degree and Master of Sports Medicine from the University of New South Wales and completed a Rheumatology fellowship at the Royal Australian College of Physicians. Additionally, he has earned a Masters of Medical Science (Clinical Epidemiology) from the University of Newcastle and a PhD from the University of Sydney in 2001.
