Dr Taylor Cullen

Dr Cullen is a consultant Rheumatologist who specialises in treating inflammatory, autoimmune, and musculoskeletal diseases. She has experience working with diverse populations, especially young women, across New South Wales, Queensland, and the Northern Territory. This has given her an in-depth understanding of the critical balance required between immunosuppression and infection risk to ensure positive quality of life and treatment outcomes. Dr Cullen also prioritises pain control to help her patients maintain active lifestyles. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys running, playing sports, and has a passion for the creative arts, with a background in ballet dancing.

Dr Cullen completed her Rheumatology training at Prince of Wales and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from James Cook University and a Master of Tropical Medicine and Public Health from the same institution. Dr Cullen is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of New South Wales.

Her ongoing research focuses on health systems and patient-centred care, making her an active contributor to the scientific community through numerous conference presentations, for which she has received several awards. Dr Cullen has held various teaching roles at universities and hospitals and is currently a conjoint associate lecturer at the University of Western Sydney. She is affiliated with the Australian Rheumatology Association and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
