Dr Hugh Caterson

Dr. Hugh Caterson is a Sydney-based clinical immunologist and rheumatologist. He provides diagnosis and treatment for all forms of arthritis and rheumatic diseases, with particular expertise in complex autoimmune conditions and autoinflammatory diseases. Dr. Caterson completed his medical training at the University of Sydney, where he also earned a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), holding dual specialties in Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology and Allergy. Furthering his expertise, he undertook specialist training in autoinflammatory diseases at the Royal Free Hospital in London, UK.

Currently, Dr. Caterson serves as a staff specialist rheumatologist at Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick. His clinical interests include the management of allergies, immunodeficiencies, and a range of autoinflammatory diseases such as Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF), Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), and connective tissue diseases.
