Dr Andre Safvat

Dr Safvat is a Specialist Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon who delivers exceptional care and support to patients for a broad range of Plastic, Cosmetic, Hand and Reconstructive surgery needs. He is renowned for his perfectionist approach to surgery, combined with his compassionate personality. Dr Safvat is committed to achieving the best possible results for his patients while ensuring exceptional care at every step of the journey.

Dr Safvat acquired his medical degrees from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, followed by fifteen years of intensive general and plastic surgery training, including a full-time surgical research program at the Royal North Shore Hospital. Subsequently, he was awarded his FRACS (Plastics) under the government-recognised Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and has completed a post-training Fellowship in Micro-surgery and Aesthetic Surgery at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney.

Dr Safvat is a member of ASPS, the top body for Plastic Surgeons in Australia, reserved for Specialist Plastic Surgeons, and holds memberships with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the NSW Hand Surgery Association. Dr Safvat is a VMO at Westmead Public and Auburn Hospitals and provides consultation services in Bowral, Miranda, and Concord and also has appointments in several private hospitals. Dr Safvat always stays abreast of the latest advances in Plastic, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery through regular attendance at international conferences, courses, workshops, and regular presentations at national and global meetings.

Dr Safvat’s dedication to research and academics has resulted in many publications in peer-reviewed journals winning him international awards, reflecting his commitment to excellence. He is a clinical lecturer and examiner at The Sydney University, actively involved in training registrars and new Plastic Surgeons.
