Dr David Thomas

Dr David Thomas is a highly skilled Medical Oncologist based in Miranda, Sydney. He specialises in the care of patients with cancers of the gastrointestinal tract, Neuroendocrine (NET) and CNS (Brain). With a keen interest in treating patients with cancers of the colon, pancreas, biliary tract, stomach, and oesophagus, David is an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team that provides top-quality treatment and care for people across New South Wales.

David completed his medical degree from Sydney University in 1995 and finished his Medical Oncology training through St George Hospital in 2003. He has undergone extensive training, including a fellowship in the Gastrointestinal Cancers Unit at the Royal Marsden Hospital in 2004. Currently, David serves as a Staff Specialist at St George and Sutherland Hospitals and also works in private practice at St George Oncology Associates and the Southside Cancer Care Centre.

Committed to delivering multi-disciplinary care, David works diligently with several teams, including NET, Colorectal, Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer, and CNS tumor multi-disciplinary teams at St George and Sutherland Hospitals. He collaborates closely with surgeons, radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, radiation oncologists, and pathologists to provide patients with the best care possible. David's deep involvement in the recruitment of patients to clinical trials showcases his dedication to ensuring the best possible outcomes for his patients.
