Dr Tai Phan

Dr Tai Phan is a highly skilled dermatologist and Mohs surgeon specialising in skin cancer surgery and laser treatments. Based in Hunters Hill, Sydney, Australia, he is associated with the Hunters Hill Private Hospital. Dr Phan obtained his undergraduate degree in medicine with Honours from the University of New South Wales and went on to pursue his interest in dermatology and skin cancer by obtaining a Master of Public Health and a Master of Medicine in Dermatology from the same university.

Dr Phan's research on UV wavelengths and their relation to immunosuppression leading to skin cancer has been published in international medical journals. He became a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2011 and joined The Skin Hospital Westmead, where he performs skin cancer surgery and laser procedures. Dr Phan also serves as a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) at the Concord Repatriation General Hospital, where he teaches Dermatology Registrars.

In 2015, Dr Phan was selected for the Fellowship program in Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology (Mohs) at the University of Toronto in Canada. During his Fellowship, he trained extensively under the guidance of leading dermatologists, gaining significant expertise in Mohs Surgery and complex reconstruction of surgical defects.
