Dr Soliman is a highly skilled Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with extensive training and experience in the field. He started his academic journey by completing his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Sydney after graduating from The King’s School. However, driven by his passion for medicine, he decided to pursue a career in the field.
Dr Soliman graduated from the University of Notre Dame with First Class Honours and the prestigious Bower and Sherrard Medal which led him to complete his junior medical training at Westmead Hospital. During this time, he was awarded Junior Medical Officer of the Year as well as being a finalist for NSW Doctor of the Year.
Following his training, he was selected by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons to undertake a highly competitive, five-year advanced surgical training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He was also awarded a Master of Surgery at the University of Sydney during this time. After completing his training, Dr Soliman was granted the prestigious Morgan travelling fellowship and completed 12 months of advanced sub-speciality training in North America with pioneers in aesthetic surgery, breast surgery and microsurgical reconstruction, Dr Brian Peterson and Professor Edward Buchel.
Dr Soliman has a keen interest in research and is widely published on a range of topics including breast surgery and operating room efficiency. Currently, he is a research supervisor with the University of Sydney, taking great interest in teaching and mentoring future generations of Plastic Surgeons. He is also passionate about mentoring junior surgeons at both Westmead and Royal North Shore hospitals. In his leisure time, Dr Soliman loves spending time with his family and keeping active.
Dr Soliman’s special interests include complex microsurgery such as breast, head, and neck as well as lower limb, breast surgery such as reconstruction and revision, aesthetic surgery such as face, breast, and body, and skin cancer surgery. His extensive experience has made him a highly preferred Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon in hospitals like Westmead Private Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital, Mater Private Hospital, Westmead Hospital, and Royal North Shore Hospital.
