Dr Sarah Coll

Dr. Sarah Coll is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in hip, knee, hand, elbow, and shoulder surgeries. Based in Cairns, Queensland, she has over 20 years of experience treating hand and upper limb injuries. Dr. Coll graduated in Medicine from the University of Western Australia and completed her Orthopaedic training in Queensland.

In 2005, Dr. Coll relocated to Cairns and became a Consultant. She sub-specialized in arthroscopy and upper limb surgery, becoming the first surgeon in Cairns to do so. In 2007, she founded her private orthopaedic practice, formerly known as Air Medicine and now called Fixing Broken Wings, where she provides care to WorkCover, DVA, and private clients.

Dr. Coll is highly experienced in treating knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand injuries, and she is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of her patients and the community. She is the second woman in Queensland to become a Fellow of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Coll is actively involved in various professional associations, including the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Australian Hand Surgery Society, Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia, International Society for Hip Arthroscopy, Australian Orthopaedic Association, Australian Medical Association, Queensland, Queensland Medical Women’s Society, Academy of Surgical Educators, Far North Medical and Legal Society, Cairns Local Medical Association, and Far North Queensland Lady Doctors Association.

Currently, Dr. Coll serves as a member and Federal Councillor of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and is a board director at the Australian Medical Association, Queensland.
