Dr Marcia Mickelburgh

Meet Dr Marcia Mickelburgh, a qualified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with a passion for helping patients achieve natural-looking results. Marcia completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland, Australia, before starting her residency at The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. After starting advanced surgical training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2008, she trained in all major hospital cities in Queensland before receiving her fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in January 2015. Her commitment to training and teaching is reflected in her previous roles as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Now, Dr Mickelburgh operates at both Cairns Private Hospital and Cairns Day Surgery, where she has a special interest in breast reconstruction, aesthetic breast surgery, skin cancer and hand surgery. Not only is she passionate about providing the best possible care for her patients, but she is also committed to ensuring they leave feeling confident, informed, and in control of their treatment journey. From the initial consultation to post-operative care, Marcia strives to create a comfortable and supportive environment for her patients. Her extensive training and experience enable her to tailor each treatment to the individual, leaving you with the most natural, beautiful outcomes possible.
