Dr Isolde Hertess

Dr. Isolde Hertess is a renowned plastic surgeon who earned her medical degree from Melbourne University Medical School in 1986, followed by an eight-year surgical training in Melbourne, Adelaide, and Brisbane, before obtaining her specialist qualification as a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in the division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In 1994, she relocated to Cairns where she established Cairns Plastic Surgery. However, she recently relocated to the Gold Coast to be close to her family. Despite her relocation, she maintains her presence in Cairns. She is affiliated with various professional bodies including the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the International Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Hertess' areas of specialty include Breast Surgery Augmentations, Breast Implant Revision, Breast Reduction, and abdominoplasty, but she also has a keen interest in skin cancer medicine and surgery. In this regard, she obtained her Australian Dermatology Diploma in 2014 and is due to finish her Masters of Medicine (Skin Cancer) in early 2023. Dr. Hertess is a believer in establishing open and honest lines of communication with her patients. She follows an individualized surgical plan for each patient based on their specific requirement or request.

Dr. Hertess is deeply passionate about helping women of all ages, from all walks of life, improve their self-esteem. She has applied a conservative approach to her plastic and reconstructive surgery work for over 20 years. Besides her professional endeavors, Dr. Hertess finds joy in cycling and has an active interest in the sport. She is also a proud mother of three adult children. Dr. Hertess currently practices at John Flynn Hospital in Tugun, Gold Coast, but still has a presence in Cairns.
