Mr Ramez Bassari

Mr. Ramez Bassari is an accomplished Surgeon and Endoscopist with esteemed qualifications in Bariatric (weight loss) and Upper Gastrointestinal surgery. He is recognized by GESA to perform gastroscopy and colonoscopy. Mr. Bassari graduated with a medical degree in 2004, earned his specialist surgical training (FRACS) in 2012 and followed with 4 years of sub-specialist training. This included competitive training through the ANZGOSA program in the fields of Bariatric/Metabolic and Upper Gastrointestinal surgery. He regularly attends scientific meetings both nationally and internationally and participates in the training of future surgical registrars.

Not only is Mr. Bassari extremely driven in his professional field, but he also dedicates his spare time to training in martial arts such as Muay Thai and MMA.

He commonly performs procedures such as hernia surgery, laparoscopic gallstone/gallbladder surgery, laparoscopic anti-reflux surgery, and haemorrhoidectomy. Additionally, he performs extensive Bariatric surgery including laparoscopic gastric sleeve/sleeve gastrectomy, laparoscopic gastric bypass, laparoscopic gastric band, duodenal switch, revisional bariatric surgery, and intra-gastric balloon.
