Mr Paul Burton

Dr. Paul is a highly capable surgeon with specializations in Upper GI surgeries like stomach and esophageal surgeries, laparoscopic surgeries, and weight loss surgeries. His extensive medical training includes training in Melbourne and Cambridge, United Kingdom. Besides surgical training, Paul also boasts a Ph.D. in upper GI surgical interventions. This doctoral thesis has contributed significantly to the understanding of various Upper GI surgical operations. It has brought about the development of diagnostic tests and improved patient education. His research work earned him doctoral thesis excellence awards from Monash University. Paul currently holds concurrent positions as a senior research fellow at the Monash University Centre for Obesity Research and Education (CORE). His publications reflect his expertise in his specialized areas of practice. Dr. Paul has also played an integral role in training courses throughout Australia, particularly relating to LAP-BAND surgery. Moreover, Paul's ongoing research is funded by competitively awarded by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS).
