Mr Geoffrey Tymms is an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon with a focus on foot and ankle injuries. He holds multiple qualifications, including a MBBS degree and is a Fellow of both the Australian Orthopaedic Association and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. With a special interest in sporting and non-sports related ankle and foot injuries, Dr Tymms is highly skilled in ankle ligament reconstruction surgery, ankle arthritis treatment, ankle replacement surgery, ankle arthroscopy, cartilage injuries, neurological deformities, flatfoot and tibialis posterior tendon conditions, and Achilles tendon injuries.
Dr Tymms acquired his medical education and surgical training in Melbourne before pursuing further specialization abroad. His commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements in his field has led him to travel internationally and attend conferences, ensuring that he can provide the best care to his patients. In addition to private practice, Dr Tymms continues to work and teach in both public and private hospitals, supervising and guiding surgical trainees. He has also been invited to present and teach at numerous local and international meetings and courses.
