Dr Priya Samarasinghe

Dr. Samarasinghe is a highly skilled general and laparoscopic surgeon specializing in trauma and surgical critical care. She trained at Westmead Hospital and other hospitals within the Sydney West Area Health network, covering various subspecialties such as gastrointestinal, oncology, head and neck, and trauma surgery. She is also a fellow of Westmead Hospital, where she trained for two years in trauma surgery and general surgery.

At present, Dr. Samarasinghe serves as a visiting medical officer at Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital. Her expertise covers general surgery, emergency general surgery, and trauma-related operations for critically ill patients with bleeding, as well as skin and soft tissue diseases. She also holds accreditation from the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) for Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy.

Dr. Samarasinghe is known for being a compassionate and dedicated surgeon who places great emphasis on patient care and communication.
