Dr Patrick Disney

Dr. Patrick Disney is a highly skilled and experienced cardiologist, specialising in non-invasive cardiac imaging and adult congenital cardiac disease. He is based in Murray Bridge, South Australia, Australia.

Dr. Disney obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Adelaide in 1996. He then completed his internship, physician training, and advanced cardiology training at the prestigious Royal Adelaide Hospital. Following his passion for echocardiography, he pursued a two-year clinical fellowship in Toronto, Canada, where he gained comprehensive experience in all aspects of echocardiography. During his fellowship, he successfully passed the American Society of Echocardiography examination of Special Competency and is a proud member of the organization.

In recognition of his exceptional skills and dedication to his field, Dr. Disney was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2002.

Expanding his knowledge in adult congenital heart disease, Dr. Disney spent a year at the renowned Birmingham Grown Up Congenital Heart Unit in the United Kingdom in 2004. This experience further solidified his expertise in managing and treating adult patients with congenital heart conditions.

Upon returning to Adelaide, Dr. Disney took on a central role in running the echocardiography laboratory at Adelaide Cardiology. He also established an adult congenital heart disease clinic at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and collaborates closely with the Cardiology Department at the Women's and Children's Hospital to establish a transition clinic for adolescent patients. Dr. Disney is an active member of the International Society of Adult Congenital Cardiac Disease.

Dr. Disney divides his time between the Women's and Children's Hospital and the Royal Adelaide Hospital, where he conducts visiting sessions, and his private practice with Adelaide Cardiology.
