Dr Heide Feberwee

After obtaining her degree in medicine from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa, Dr Heidi Feberwee started her medical career in her home country. During this time, she also completed a Diploma in Anaesthesia. She proceeded to work in the United Kingdom as a House Officer in Urology and General Surgery for six months before moving on to New Zealand in 2002 where she became an Anaesthetic Specialist in Auckland after completing her training. Furthering her education, Dr Feberwee completed advanced training in Pain Medicine at The Auckland Regional Pain Service (TARPS) in 2008 and became a certified Pain Specialist. Since 2009, she has been working as a Specialist in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine in Australia, focusing her practice on the management of patients with persistent and chronic pain. Her success in her field has earned her the position of Senior Lecturer with Griffith University and Honorary Adjunct Assistant Professor at Bond University where she guides and mentors future and current medical professionals. Dr Feberwee's expertise in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine has been invaluable in contributing to the growth and development of new practitioners in the field.
