Dr Eva Nagy

Dr. Eva Nagy is an accomplished Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon, with extensive training and experience in breast cancer treatment. Following her graduation from the University of Melbourne, she worked as a junior doctor in Singapore and Melbourne before joining a formal training program in General Surgery in Sydney. During her training, she rotated through various esteemed hospitals in Australia, including Royal North Shore Hospital, St. Vincent's Hospital, and Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital.

After becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Eva undertook sub-specialty training in Breast Surgery. This two-year training provided her with comprehensive instruction in advanced surgical techniques relevant to breast cancer at the Poche Centre in North Sydney and the Nottingham Breast Institute in the United Kingdom.

Eva is diligent in her practice and is fully proficient in mastectomies and implant-based reconstruction. However, her primary interest lies in the prudent use of breast-conserving surgery and the use of the patient's tissue flaps for reconstruction where feasible. Her research work in breast cancer has allowed her to present her findings at various international conferences, including the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium and the Association of Breast Surgery Conference in Glasgow. Her current research focuses on the safe de-escalation of treatment protocols for cancer patients.

In addition to her medical degree, Eva has a PhD in Biomedical Science, a Bachelor's Degree (Hons) in Biomedical Science, and a Graduate Certificate in Breast Surgery from the University of Sydney. She is also a full member of Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand (BreastSurgANZ). Eva's academic achievements, coupled with her extensive clinical experience, make her a trusted and respected clinician in the field of breast cancer treatment.
