Dr Edwina Wing-Lun

Dr Edwina Wing-Lun is a highly skilled and accomplished Interventional and General Cardiologist, dedicated to making significant contributions to healthcare in the Northern Territory of Australia. Currently practicing in Tiwi, Darwin, she is associated with the esteemed Darwin Private Hospital and Royal Darwin Hospital.

With a primary focus on providing complex congenital heart disease services, Dr Wing-Lun also takes on various responsibilities such as supervising research projects and mentoring junior doctors. She is deeply committed to advancing the field of cardiology through research and has established both retrospective and prospective databases. In pursuit of her passion, she is currently enrolled in a PhD program on Coronary Artery Disease in the Top End, being supported by a scholarship from the University of Sydney.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr Wing-Lun is an active member of the Heart Foundation, where she contributes to national and local initiatives, particularly those addressing women's heart disease and equity. Her expertise is highly regarded, which is reflected in her frequent invitations to speak at local, national, and international meetings.

Dr Wing-Lun began her academic journey at the University of Sydney in New South Wales, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science (adv) degree and a medical degree with honours. She completed her cardiology training through the network associated with St Vincent's Hospital, furthering her knowledge and expertise in the field. Driven by a desire to make a difference in underserved areas, she has worked in remote and rural regions such as Alice Springs, Kintore, Wagga Wagga, and Condoblin.

In early 2018, Dr Wing-Lun relocated to Darwin, where she now resides with her family. She continues to demonstrate her unwavering commitment to improving healthcare in the Northern Territory, making a positive impact on the lives of her patients and the wider community.
