Dr Kim Bade

Originally from Darwin, Dr Kim Bade is a highly trained Bariatric and Upper Gastrointestinal surgeon who completed his education through Flinders University in Adelaide. Later, he underwent general surgical training in Western Australia, eventually obtaining his fellowship in 2019.

Dr Bade’s post-fellowship training including spending two years at Joondalup Health Campus and Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital in Perth. These are high-volume facilities which provide state-of-the-art training and experience in complex minimally invasive gastroesophageal and bariatric (weight loss) surgery, as well as gastric, oesophageal, and pancreatic surgery.

Now, Dr Bade is back in Darwin where he consults privately at Darwin Private Hospital and is also publicly appointed at Royal Darwin Hospital. His interests lie in bariatric (weight loss) surgery, anti-reflux surgery, upper GI oncology, and advanced endoscopy.
