Dr Damian Roper

Dr Damian Roper is a highly skilled and experienced cardiologist, specialising in non-invasive cardiology with a focus on Echocardiography. He currently practices in North Lakes, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, and is associated with Greenslopes Private Hospital.

Dr Roper obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom. After relocating to Brisbane, he completed his basic physician training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Dr Roper furthered his training by undertaking advanced training and obtaining his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2012.

To enhance his expertise in Echocardiography, Dr Roper pursued a Fellowship in Advanced Echocardiography at The Prince Charles Hospital. During this fellowship, he gained extensive experience in various Echocardiographic modalities, including transthoracic, transoesophageal, and stress echocardiography.

Not content with his accomplishments, Dr Roper sought further professional growth by undertaking another Echocardiography Fellowship at King's College Hospital in London, United Kingdom. This opportunity allowed him to broaden his knowledge and skills in the field. Additionally, he has authored a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals and serves as a reviewer for the European Journal of Ultrasound. Dr Roper has also contributed a book chapter to the latest textbook from the American Society of Echocardiography, titled "Dynamic Echocardiography."
