Professor Cheah is an experienced and compassionate Haematologist and Clinical Researcher who currently practices at Hollywood Private Hospital and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospitals. With extensive training and international recognition as a Haematologist, Prof Cheah prioritises providing patient-centric care and access to clinical trials. He has a particular interest in lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia but also treats patients with other haematological issues. Having completed his medical degree at the University of Western Australia in 2003, Prof Cheah underwent post-graduate training at Fremantle Hospital, followed by Fellowships at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, USA. As a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Western Australia and Chair of the Australasian Lymphoma Alliance, he is dedicated to training the next generation of medical professionals and advancing the field of Haematology. Additionally, Prof Cheah is the Founder of Blood Cancer Research Western Australia, highlighting his passion for clinical research. By actively engaging in research, he strives to understand the root cause of haematological diseases, and provide innovative solutions to help patients improve their quality of life. With his extensive academic achievements, Prof Cheah is a highly respected member of the medical community and a worthy nominee for the Australian Haematology society.
