Dr Anne Halbert

Dr Anne Halbert is a highly accomplished dermatologist based in Perth, Western Australia. She specialises in the field of pediatric dermatology and is the Head of the Department of Pediatric Dermatology at Princess Margaret Hospital for Children. With over three decades of experience, Dr Halbert is dedicated to providing outstanding care to infants, children, and teenagers with skin disorders.

Dr Halbert obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB BS) degree with honors from the University of Western Australia in 1987. She subsequently became a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatology (FACD) in 1994. To further enhance her expertise in pediatric dermatology, she completed a fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado in 1995.

Throughout her career, Dr Halbert has received numerous distinctions and awards for her outstanding academic achievements and contributions to the field of dermatology. She was the recipient of the Australian Medical Association Medal for obtaining the highest marks in her final examinations in 1987. In addition, she has been recognized with various prizes, including the Founder's Medal for Procedural Dermatology and the Galderma Prize for the best presentation at the Registrars' Forum.

Dr Halbert is an esteemed author, having contributed to several medical publications and textbooks. She has written chapters on eczematous dermatitis in "Pediatric Dermatology" and on neurocutaneous diseases in "Dermatology Secrets." Furthermore, she revised and updated the chapter on neurocutaneous diseases for the fourth edition of "Dermatology Secrets Plus."

As an expert in her field, Dr Halbert has also served on the Dermatology Expert Group for Therapeutic Guidelines and has published numerous research articles in reputable journals, including the "Australasian Journal of Dermatology" and the "Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology."

Dr Halbert's professional interests lie in the diagnosis and management of skin disorders in infants, children, and teenagers. She has a particular focus on atopic dermatitis, genetic skin conditions, and the use of laser treatment for congenital and acquired disorders.
