Dr Robert Ma

Northern Perth Vascular has expanded to offer services in Joondalup and Nedlands. Dr Robert Ma, a vascular and endovascular surgeon, is the lead clinician at the practice. He works at Hollywood Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, and Joondalup Health Campus. Dr Ma specialises in minimally invasive and open surgical interventions for arterial pathology, as well as managing diseases of veins, arteries, and renal access. He provides a no-gap service and accepts urgent referrals.

Dr Ma completed his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery with honours at the University of New South Wales in 2011. After extensive vascular and endovascular training in Australia and overseas, he was awarded a Vascular Fellowship by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2018. He moved to Western Australia in March 2019 after working as a vascular surgery and renal access consultant in Waikato Hospital, New Zealand.

Dr Ma is passionate about developing community services in WA and plays a key role in the Multidisciplinary Diabetic Foot Unit at Sir Charles Gairdner. He is available to meet with general practitioners on a range of topics, such as minimally invasive treatment advances in vascular surgery, anticoagulation and antiplatelet management for vasculopaths, managing diabetes and peripheral arterial disease, renal failure, and vascular disease, and advances in the treatment of varicose veins.

Dr Ma manages both public and private patients on a no-gap basis and has accreditation in several public and private hospitals.
