Dr Tony Delaney is a Sports Medicine Physician based in Sydney. With over 45 years of experience, he is well-versed in the field of sports medicine and holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Sydney, Australia, which he obtained in 1972. Dr Delaney is a recognized member of the medical community, having completed his Fellowship of the Australasian College of Sports Physicians in 1996.
Dr Delaney specialises in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of overuse injuries and biomechanics of the upper and lower limbs and spine. He is particularly skilled in the use of foot orthotics to aid in rehabilitation and performance enhancement. His expertise extends to other areas of sports medicine, such as exertional compartment pressure testing, environmental and travel medicine (with a focus on altitude, underwater, cold, and heat conditions), diving medicals, military medicine, and exercise-associated asthma.
Throughout his career, Dr Delaney has been committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in sports medicine. He regularly attends conferences, workshops, and seminars to broaden his knowledge and apply evidence-based practices in his treatments.
