Dr Susan Wright

Dr. Susan Wright is a highly skilled and experienced cardiologist with a special interest in cardiac ultrasound. She completed her medical training in Auckland, New Zealand, where she focused on cardiac ultrasound and earned a Masters of Medical Science. During her academic pursuits, she developed a keen interest in heart failure, which is one of the most prevalent conditions requiring hospitalization in Australia. To further her understanding, Dr. Wright completed a PhD examining the diagnostic potential of B-type Natriuretic Peptide, a heart protein derived from a blood test.

In 2004, Dr. Wright joined St. Vincent's Hospital in Sydney as a Cardiology Fellow to enhance her expertise in cardiac echocardiography. Following her time there, she worked as a cardiologist at St. George Hospital before returning to New Zealand. She served as a cardiologist at Middlemore and Greenlane Hospitals for two years before permanently returning to Sydney in 2009. Since then, she has been an integral part of the Peninsula Cardiology team, using her extensive medical knowledge and skills to provide the best possible cardiac care.

Dr. Wright's proficiency centers around the use of cardiac ultrasound technology, enabling her to diagnose heart complications, particularly heart failure, with great accuracy. Her contributions to healthcare are invaluable, and her dedication to the field of cardiology is indisputable.
