Dr Tafere Berhane

Dr Tafere Berhane is a Rheumatologist based in Nedlands with a special interest in Adult Rheumatology, Connective Tissue Diseases, and Rheumatoid Arthritis. He completed his medical degree from the Medical Faculty of Addis Ababa University in 1987 and worked at the National Leprosy Control Programme and as an internal medicine resident at the Hansenian Welfare Organisation. Dr Berhane moved to Australia in 1994 and worked in the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital as a Dermatology Research Registrar. He completed his Masters in Medicine in Dermatology and became an FRACP, practicing exclusively in Adult Rheumatology with expertise in inflammatory arthritis. He is accredited to SCGH and Hollywoood Private Hospital.

Dr Berhane is a multilingual professional who speaks Tigrinya, Amharic, Italian, and a little French. Apart from his work, he enjoys running, soccer, and church-related activities.
