Prof Mayank Bhandari

Dr. Mayank Bhandari is an accomplished specialist who caters to benign and malignant diseases of the liver, pancreas, and gallbladder. He is experienced in resecting tumors of the liver, bile duct, gallbladder, and pancreas as well as treating pancreatitis, pancreatic cysts, and benign liver lesions. He is also well-versed in using minimally invasive approaches for liver and gallbladder resections. Dr. Bhandari takes a patient-focused approach to patient care and believes in working alongside a team of medical professionals that offers coordinated management of medical conditions.

Graduating from a prestigious medical school in India, Dr. Bhandari moved to Australia in 2004 and offered his extensive expertise in managing liver and pancreatic diseases. Additionally, he holds a Ph.D. in pancreatology from Flinders University and was awarded a Paul McMaster Fellowship for advanced training in liver and pancreatic surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, UK.

Dr. Bhandari is an Adjunct Professor at Curtin University’s Medical School, where he educates the next generation of surgeons. He leads by example, publishing his research results whilst regularly participating in liver and pancreas cancer research clinical trials. Apart from treating private patients at the Hollywood Private Hospital, Dr. Bhandari also holds public appointments at Royal Perth Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital.

Dr. Bhandari is also equipped to work with Worker’s Compensation cases and provides Skype and Telehealth facilities for patients and General Practitioners. He fluently speaks English and Hindi.
