Dr Shiby Ninan

Dr. Ninan is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who currently practices at Darwin Private Hospital, providing surgical treatments to both paediatric and adult patients. Originally from South India, he moved to Australia in 2006 and underwent dual training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in both countries. Dr. Ninan is experienced in performing diverse cosmetic surgeries including breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, liposuction, otoplasty, and eyelid surgery amongst others.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ninan has held numerous senior fellowships across a range of hospitals, including Maxillofacial and Head and Neck Surgery at RDH, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide. In 2010, he was a Senior Fellow in Craniomaxillofacial Surgery at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Dr. Ninan was appointed as the Director of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at RDH in 2011 and has also worked as a senior lecturer at Flinders University, teaching medical students from across Australia and overseas.

Dr. Ninan has been recognized for his contributions to the field; he was appointed as the Supervisor of Training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2014. In addition, Dr. Ninan is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is also actively involved in volunteer work; annually, he volunteers for humanitarian medical missions with the Australian-based organisation "Helping Children Smile Inc.". During these missions, he performs cleft lip, nose, and palate surgery on underprivileged children in the Philippines.
