A/Prof Sam Adie

Dr. Sam Adie is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in surgeries related to the hip, knee, foot, and ankle. He practices in Kogarah, Sydney, and is affiliated with St George Private Hospital and Kareena Private Hospital. Dr. Adie is fluent in Arabic in addition to English.

He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honors from the University of New South Wales in 2005. Dr. Adie is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association. He has also completed various fellowships worldwide, including at esteemed institutions such as the University of Toronto/St. Michael's Hospital in Canada and the University of Oxford/John Radcliffe Hospital in the UK.

Dr. Adie's clinical interests include complex orthopaedic trauma, computer-navigated joint replacement, deformity correction, and minimally invasive foot surgery. He is also a Senior Lecturer (Conjoint) at the University of New South Wales, where he earned his Masters in Sports Medicine, Masters in Public Health, and PhD. His research focuses on improving surgical outcomes and clinical trial methodology, having published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals and secured significant grant funding.

Dr. Adie's dedication to education is evident through his involvement as a faculty member of "CLEAR," a course offered by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He also represents Australia as the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association Young Ambassador.
