Dr Vytauras Kuzinkovas

Dr Vytauras Kuzinkovas is a highly experienced surgeon with an impressive academic background. After obtaining his primary medical qualifications, he pursued a postgraduate doctorate research fellowship at the University of Berne, Switzerland, where he worked with the renowned expert in Upper Gastrointestinal and Pancreatic Surgery, Professor Markus Büchler. During his fellowship, he conducted laboratory-based research in Laparoscopy and Surgical Immunology, which resulted in the award of the degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD). He then completed advanced surgical training at West Midlands University Teaching Hospitals in the UK, earning MRCSEd and FRCSEd degrees.

Dr Kuzinkovas has performed over 5000 various laparoscopic surgical procedures, as well as numerous endoscopies within the field of General and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery. He is accredited with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and has been awarded a FRACS.

Dr Kuzinkovas is actively involved in training medical students and surgical trainees and has received recognition as a fellow of The Royal Society of Medicine of Britain (RSM). He is also a member of several local and international surgical societies, including the Obesity Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand (OSSANZ), Australian and New Zealand Gastro-Oesophageal Surgical Society (ANZGOSA), American Society of Obesity and Metabolic Surgery (ASMBS), and The International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO). Overall, Dr Kuzinkovas's extensive experience in laparoscopic surgery and his contributions to the development of surgical knowledge make him a highly respected and accomplished surgeon in his field.
