Dr Zoltan Szomor

Dr Zoltan Szomor is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in surgeries of the hip and knee. He is based in Kogarah, 2217, Sydney, and affiliated with St George Private Hospital. Dr Szomor is fluent in English and Hungarian, and holds an MD, PhD, and FRACS qualifications.

Dr Szomor obtained his MD degree with honors from the Medical University of Pecs, Hungary in 1985. He later achieved a PhD in Orthopaedic Surgery from the University of New South Wales in 2003. He is a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, obtaining these qualifications in 2004. Additionally, Dr Szomor is a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon certified by the Hungarian Orthopaedic Association's Board of Examiners.

With over 50 scientific publications in peer-reviewed international journals, Dr Szomor has a strong commitment to advancing the field of orthopaedic surgery. He has a special interest in hip and knee primary and revision arthroplasty, minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures, knee ligament reconstruction and arthroscopy, as well as advanced surgical techniques and materials.
